Christmas projects

I had a couple of projects this Christmas. I made a story with a bag of items to go with it for about 90 girls in the ward (and I got them all delivered with Dustin's help and amazing navigation skills).
I made stockings with stickers and candy for all of my students, and I made a Christmas rag quilt.
Out of all of this I got that I need kids. (On second thought, I'm not sure that would stop me from projects, it would simply change their nature.)

My Politically correct birthday snowman

Ok, so I used to have this tradition of making a snowman cake for my birthday, and I haven't done that for years. So this year what I really felt like was a sugar free pumpkin pie without the crust. SO I made a couple of pie fillings without crust in cake pans and put them together to make this snowman. (It tasted amazing.) I feel that it is politically correct and a sign of my wisdom as I get older.
The other cake was an eggnog cake with a caramel/eggnog frosting. I took it to the Christmas party, however, with all of the wonderful things to eat no one ever tried it. I ended up throwing it away.

Caroling in Spanish

The last day of school my students wanted to go caroling around the school. We practiced a couple of songs, and this is what they came up with.

The Macks at the Condo.

So far, the most fun I've had at the condo this season was when Mary, Lamon, and the kids came to visit. At the beginning of the holiday season I bought a bunch of toys and wrapped them and put them under the tree for neices and nephews to open. However, I'm so far out in the "North Pole" that no one has come to visit. :( So when they came and opened a couple of presents it really felt like Christmas.

The Sky's the limit!

I know I haven't posted in a while, so we'll try to play catch up here. A couple of weeks ago Dustin took me up in a little two seated plane and flew us all around Nebo mountain and Utah valley. It was so beautiful to see the mountains, snow, and sunset from up there. The only downfall.... it was freezing in the plane. :)

Reindeer!!!

O.k. so me and my big imagination find a lot of magic at Christmastime. I will be the first to admit that sometimes I am just in my own world. Sooooo The other day while eating lunch at Thanksgiving Point I looked out the window and they had real reindeer!!!! I WAS SO EXCITED!!! All through lunch all I could think about was going out and saying hi to the reindeer. I knew that there would be this special connection and they would come over and I would pet them etc. So I went over and sat down next to them. At first everything seemed great. After a few minutes they just wouldn't come over to where I sitting. So Dustin went and got deer food to entice them and ...... I think deer food is just a ploy to get people to buy something. The reindeer weren't interested in it. So I finally asked the guy there to push them in my direction so that I could get a picture (he did that for a few kids so that they could pet them). However, the reindeer pushed back and headed to the other end of the pen. ..... It would seem that those were stuck up reindeer. Because I know that nice reindeer would've wanted to come over and let me pet them. .... I just know it. .... I just know it...... The first picture was at the beginning when everything seemed fine, then the second one is the view I got most of the time.
